The Erasmus Student Network (ESN) is proud to announce its membership in the Liaison Group of the European Economic and Social Committee (EESC). This marks a significant step forward in ESN’s commitment to representing the voice of young people and fostering participatory democracy in Europe.

What is the EESC Liaison Group?

The EESC Liaison Group was established in 2004 as a bridge between the EESC and European civil society organisations. It serves as a framework for dialogue, cooperation, and joint action on cross-cutting issues of shared importance. Joining umbrella organisations across various sectors, the liaison group creates a civil dialogue and facilitates contributions to the European Union’s decision-making process, as outlined in Article 11 of the Treaty of the European Union.

ESN’s Role in the Liaison Group

By joining this liaison group, ESN brings the perspectives and experiences of the Erasmus Generation. ESN’s participation aims to:
