From April 24th to 27th, 2025, the Erasmus Student Network (ESN) convened its Spring General Assembly in the city of Dubrovnik, Croatia. Over four days, delegates from across Europe and further gathered to make key decisions, celebrate milestones, and pave the path for the future of the organisation.

One of the most anticipated moments of the Assembly was the election of the new Statutory Bodies of ESN, with the International Board being one of them. The elected members for the upcoming mandate are the following:

  • Simone Lepore, President 2025-2026
  • Anja Miljković, Vice President for Development 2024-2026
  • Kaja Kaczkiełło, Vice President for Governance 2024-2026
  • Rui Vinha, Treasurer 2024-2026
  • Marco Comotti, Web Project Administrator, 2025-2026

These elected leaders will guide the Network through the next mandate, ensuring continuity and innovation in supporting international student mobility and the development of the organisation.

ESN Iceland was officially welcomed back into the Network, becoming the 46th country represented in the organisation. Their return marks a renewed commitment to strengthening student mobility in the north and broadening ESN's reach across Europe.

The General Assembly also looked ahead to ESN’s flagship event, the Erasmus Generation Meeting, by electing the next Organising Committee. We are excited to announce that the 5th edition of the largest student-led conference in Europe will take place in Split, Croatia, in April 2026. The event is expected to bring together hundreds of young changemakers from across Europe to celebrate student mobility and internationalisation.

A landmark moment of the Assembly was the unanimous approval of ESN’s new Vision and Strategic Priorities for the next six years. Alongside these, the organisation adopted the Three-Year Strategy 2025-2028 and Action Plan for the upcoming academic year, laying out clear steps to address current challenges and harness new opportunities in the ever-evolving field of international education.

With its rich agenda, strategic outcomes, and passionate exchange of ideas, the Spring General Assembly in Dubrovnik reaffirmed ESN's commitment to empowering students, advocating for quality mobility, and building a stronger, more inclusive Europe through youth engagement.
